THE NATIONAL CENTRE OF DISABLED PERSON'S NEWS


On September 8, 2004, the IRS has registered one Indonesia with disability that came to Cambodia to get access of the crutches and employment opportunities. So far IRS project registered three foreigners with disabilities from Mongolia, France and Indonesia.

Up to date IRS has registered totally 2386 disabled persons from throughout the country.

On September 7, 2004, IRS have sign agreement with Hotel Inter-Continetial , Phnom Penh for on-the-job-training opportunities to 12 disabled people from the IRS database. IRS also conduct workshop on disability awareness to all managers at this hotel.

The Information and Referral Services is approaching for more small business opportunity to landmine victims, yesterday owner of the Mekong Library accepted our proposal of space just right a corner of his library for sale soft drink. This project wills official start next week with support of shelter to protect rain from owner.

Today, four physical disabled will start their on-the-job training with Hotel Intercontinental in telephone operator, accounting and housekeeping department.
