NCDP 10 Years Anniversary

The National Centre of Disabled Persons (NCDP) was organized the event of 10 years Anniversary. The event was held on the Morning April 3, 2006 in the Main Stadium Olympic.

There were 3667 people with disability came from all deference provinces through disability sector NGOs, most of them whom received the services from NCDP and making a very good collaboration.  

The event was presided by H.E Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Royal Government of Cambodia. The Minister of Social Affair, H.E Ith Samheng, was reported on behalf of Ministry and NCDP. Approximately 2000 university students were witness during the day. 400 VIP who are minister of deference ministry, Ambassador and represented international organization will honor during the occasion. Totally 6067 people were together as the historical for NCDP and showed the commitment of supported from Cambodia society on disability issue.

As you all aware that advocacy is one of the tool for successful the fully right and service for our disabled people in Cambodia as well in Asia. On April 3, 2006, Cambodian people heard a very strong commitment from our Government and from our Ministry of social Affair of the future consideration on Disabled People Project. The other hand, those who attended was become our advocator and support in the future; they had distributed information to the public. Disabled people have a fully right to meet the Prime Minister on April 3, 2006 which we wish the country in Asia should having the same relation with government and ask for support, that was the first event in Cambodia, that was the aim of improving the quality of life of people with disability because the government and NGOs with disabled people could build a very strong activities and found out sustainability in the future. We appreciated very much to our Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Royal Government of Cambodia and Her Excellency whom was with us all the time and supported the project of disabled people.
